Top 3 Favorite Thai Teens' Activities

 1.Texting their friends

Basically the basic activity every teenagers, both in Thailand and the other parts of the world, does nowadays. The time they choose to do this is usually in the evening, but Thai teenagers , mostly students, take it to the extreme and also do it during their classes as well. It can be useful for them to socialize, but only in the right hands. For some countries , particularly Thailand, it may seem to have more disadvantages than advantages.

2.Watching TV

Since the coming of mobile phones, TVs' popularity among teenagers has greatly decreased. Fortunately, there're many fascinating and "educative" television dramas in Thailand, which can successfully grab the teenagers' attention. Alas, they still have some drawbacks, as most of them represent the same type of people over and over again. Even worse, Thai teens seem to accept and memorize those behaviors of the bad guys ( who constantly fight for "love"). There may be some of them who still have some senses about right and wrong, but that's a few.

3.Keeping up with Fashion

As what i have said above, Thai dramas are very popular and is the topic Thai teenagers will most likely talk about first. So, celebrities in Thailand are like the fashion leaders. Thanks to mobile phones, internet and social medias (mostly Instagram), It now has become a trend to report your every moves to your friends and strangers over the internet. That, can't be done without proper clothes and fashion.

Songs to Help With Learning English

1)Trouble Is a Friend - Lenka

I recommend this song to those who are still beginners, as the words in the song are very simple and can be heard in everyday's life. The speed is adequate and the vocal is easy to understand.

2) Yesterday once more - The Carpenters

This one is for those that are advanced enough for something more challenging. I think the song's story is soft and suitable for children and learners of all ages. The pronunciation is pretty clear. The melody is soothing, enjoyable and not too fast to hear.

3) Secrets - One Republic

This song may require you to have some moderate skills and experiences, but I'll recommend it anyway as it's my favorite. The overall vocals aren't that hard to listen, but you may find them difficult in some parts.

My 3 Favorites Movies

1st: Avatar(2009)

On the upper half of the poster are the faces of a man and a female blue alien with yellow eyes, with a giant planet and a moon in the background and the text at the top: "From the director of Terminator 2 and Titanic". Below is a dragon-like animal flying across a landscape with floating mountains at sunset; helicopter-like aircraft are seen in the distant background. The title "James Cameron's Avatar", film credits and the release date appear at the bottom

I like this movie because of its way of portraying Earth and Pandora and how the humans are going to destroy both planets. The movie also shows the uncanny relationship between the outsiders and the natives, which reminds me of  the Americans and Native Americans' one.
The other reason is that it teaches me many things and I have learned a lot from it. The most important lesson for me is that you shouldn't take everything for yourself, even if you could.

2nd: Twister (1996)

Twistermovieposter.jpg

This one is a bit different from the first, since it's a disaster movie. I like it for many reasons, the first being its overall graphics. The effects were spectacular and fascinating to see. Also, it's very impressive for a 90's film to be able to create tornadoes using only CGI. The second reason is its morals, which are many, but what I find most useful is that working as a team(or simply "unity") can solve and accomplish almost everything. The villains also gave some interesting ones too, by running straight to their death solely because their ignorance and wrong estimation.

3rd: X-men: Days of Futer Past (2014)

This is kind of a new movie came out in 2014. The story continues from the previous installation X-Men: First Class(2011)  and is about a group of mutants trying to change the present by going back to the past. I like it because I love the X-Men storyline itself and their way of interpreting members of different human races, colors, ethnicity, etc. as mutants, which are viewed as outsiders in their society.
